Organisers Of Olympic Closing Ceremony Attempt To Book Deceased Drummer Keith Moon As Performer

Organisers of the Olympics Closing ceremony may have to enlist the help of hologram pioneers Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg for their show on August 12th – because they allegedly tried to secure The Who's Keith Moon as an artists, despite Moon being dead for 34 years.

Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg managed to bring deceased rap legend Tupac Shakur back to life at Coachella Festival on the weekend by using an innovative holographic process not seen before on such a big stage. So, if the closing ceremony chiefs are hoping to get Keith Moon on the kit at their show, they're gonna have to get in touch with the stars – because he's been dead for over 30 years.

Bill Curbishley, The Who's long-time manager, revealed how he was contacted by the organisers, and told The Sunday Times: “I emailed back saying Keith now resides in Golders Green crematorium, having lived up to the Who's anthemic line 'I hope I die before I get old'. If they have a round table, some glasses and candles, we might contact him.”

On a serious level, holographic performances by deceased performers could soon become a common sight – and Dre and Snoop are even considering taking Holopac on tour. What do you think of the idea? Let us know in the comments section below.
