The View To Perform Three Special HMV Shows To Celebrate Release Of New Album 'Cheeky For A Reason'

The View are to celebrate the release of their new album, ‘Cheeky For A Reason’, with three free in-store performances at HMV stores starting at HMV’s Murraygate store in the band’s hometown Dundee, on Sunday 8th July 2012. Showtime starts at 12.30pm, after which the band will remain in the store to meet fans and sign copies of the new album which is officially released to the rest of the UK, the following day, Monday 9th July 2012 through Cooking Vinyl.
Next up on Sunday 8th July 2012 the band head to HMV’s Buchanan Street store in Glasgow for another performance and signing session kicking-off at 4.00pm.
The View then wrap up their trio of in-store appearances, with a visit to HMV’s Market Street store in Manchester, on Monday 9th July 2012. Their performance will start at 5.00pm and will be followed by a signing session.
‘Cheeky For A Reason’ is the band’s fourth album after the Mercury-nominated Number 1 debut ‘Hats Off To The Buskers’, the Top 10 follow-up ‘Which Bitch’ and 2011’s Top 20 ‘Bread And Circuses’. Recorded at Liverpool’s Motor Museum Studios with producer Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight, Foals), titles that are included on the album include ’Bunker’, ‘The Clock’,’ Anfield Row’ and ‘AB’. The self-penned album includes three songs written by vocalist/guitarist Kyle Falconer and bassist Kieren Webster with writer/producer and unofficial fifth member of Kings of Leon Angelo Petraglia.
