We Are Scientists Launch Unsigned Band Competition

California-based indie rockers We Are Scientists have launched a new search to find the best unsigned band in the world.
The new project, held in conjunction with Aloft Hotels and their Play and Stay at Aloft, is underway now, and will potentially make stars out of the winner - who’ll get to write and record with the band.
Bands will have to send in demos to playandstay@aloftlive.com, and if they’re successful, will be given a once-in-a-lifetime chance to perform at one of three participating Aloft Hotels across the globe - where the world-famous trio will judge each of the participating bands.
The lucky outfit who win will be treated to a 12 hour writing and recording sesh with the band - which will be broadcast online via the Aloft Facebook page - and will even get to perform the track alongside the band at a one-off gig this November.
Speaking of the competition, band-member Keith Murray explained: “We're looking forward to spending 12 hours locked away with the winning band at Aloft London Excel creating what is destined to be something pretty incredible.”
Who knows - if the song’s good enough, it may even end up featuring on the forthcoming new We Are Scientists album, which is set for a 2013 release!
