Cher Lloyd has sold an incredible million copies of her debut US single 'Want U Back'. The track was released as a download two months ago and has today passed the million sales mark. It entered the Top 10 on US iTunes last month and has not left since.
These sales follow Cher's radio tour of the USA, which has seen the singer travel across the country, winning new fans wherever she has gone.
Cher says: "It's so amazing 'Want U Back' has sold one million copies in America. My Brats rock, thank you!"
Chairman and CEO of Epic Records LA Reid says: “I’m very excited about the progress of Cher’s success. This is only the beginning!”
Cher is currently putting the finishing touches to her highly anticipated US debut album 'Sticks & Stones', which now has a new confirmed release date of October 2nd. The American version of 'Sticks & Stones', released via Syco/Epic Records, will vary slightly from the 2011 UK version. The US album includes never-before-heard songs, as well as a few surprise guests including Snoop Dogg who features on the album version of 'Want U Back'.
