London-based dance music duo Mock and Toof have revealed that they’ll be releasing their second full album ‘Temporary Happiness’ in October.
Mock & Toof are finally back following their superb debut album ‘Tuning Echoes’ in 2010 - and the first material to emerge from the new album is ‘My Head’, featuring vocals from young Swiss artist Ghostape.
In a nutshell, it’s one little catchy chugger with a heavy analogue sound. The beats of the Boss DR-55 & the inimitable bass of the TB-303 lay the foundation. Clavs, bell lines and synth sweeps combine with Ghostape’s repetitive dubbed out vocals for a unique sounding electro-dub-funk inspired cut.
‘My Head’ will feature as the lead single from the forthcoming new album, and will hit shelves on September 17th as a digital download as well as on 12” vinyl. You can check out it’s brand new music video below.
