Lisa Marie Presley - a.k.a ‘The Princess of Rock and Roll’ - has announced her first ever UK gig this week, which will coincide with the release of her third studio album ‘Storm & Grace’.
The 44 year-old singer-songwriter, who’s the daughter of world-famous superstar Elvis Presley, has surprisingly never headlined a performance over here in the UK before, and will rock out London’s Bush Hall to break her duck.
The show takes place on October 4th - just preceding the release of her new album, which hits shelves on October 15th - and tickets went onsale this morning at 9am - they’ll cost you £29.50 + fees. You can find yours through Stereoboard by checking the dates and links at the bottom of the page.
Her new album, an Americana-inspired collection which perfectly showcases Lisa Marie’s song-writing talent and smouldering alto voice, was produced by 12-time Grammy Award winner T-Bone Burnett, and featured collaborators include Richard Hawley and Ed Harcourt.
“I love the songs, but I think I was hiding behind a lot of sonic layers because it was scary to go out there,” Presley says. “It’s easier to bury yourself in the noise so you don't stand out. This album is a lot more stripped-down and naked, both musically and lyrically.”
