American rockers The Killers have confirmed that their re-scheduled Manchester gigs will take place on February 17th and 18th, following their cancellation after frontman Brandon Flowers’ voice went four songs into a performance.
The Las Vegas outfit’s UK tour was one of the most highly-anticipated of the year, and with their fourth album ‘Battle Born’ hitting #1 in the UK Albums chart, it was set to be one of the best, too.
But, just four songs into the first of two dates in Manchester, the band walked off stage - with a spokesperson later telling the crowd that the gig would not continue because Flowers had a sore throat.
After posting on Facebook saying that they were ‘so, so sorry’ for the cancellation, the band stated that they would be rescheduling the concert - as well as a second Manchester gig which was set to take place tonight. We now know that Mancunian fans will have to wait until February 2013 to see their favourites performing their new tracks live.
A post on Get To the Front states that “tickets for the original shows remain valid with the exception of standing tickets from the Nov 13th show, which will be reissued to customers by their original ticketing agents. Refunds available from point of purchase.”
The band’s London shows - which were cast into doubt after the cancellation - will go ahead as planned along with the rest of the tour. If you need tickets to any of The Killer’s UK shows, check the dates and details below.
