American violin superstar Lindsey Stirling has lined-up her first ever UK tour dates today, as she rides the success of her eponymous debut album.
The 26 year-old found fame in America after appearing as the ‘Hip-Hop Violinist’ on 2010’s America’s Got Talent, finishing as a quarter-finalist after the success of her YouTube channel encouraged her to enter.
Using a violin to create classical crossover genres venturing into dance, hip-hop, pop, and even dubstep, Stirling has built up a rather large fanbase, and her YouTube channel has now received over 175,000,000 views. Her debut record hit #81 in the Billboard 200 and topped the Dance/Electronica chart when it hit shelves in September - now she’s ready to take it across the world.
The Californian hits London’s Borderline on January 20th next year, before hitting the Oran Mor in Glasgow on the 22nd. Tickets go on sale this Friday (December 7th) at 9am, with the London gig to cost £15.00 + fees, and the Glasgow gig £12.00 + fees.
