Alter Bridge duo Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy have confirmed they have begun songwriting for the band's next studio album, tentatively set for release later this year.
Last Friday, 4th January, a picture of guitarist Tremonti and singer Kennedy in the studio surfaced on the official Alter Bridge Facebook page. The picture was captioned with: "It begins today."
Another post, which emerged earlier today, has confirmed that the guys have begun work on the new record: "Writing on 'AB4' has begun. Very productive sessions so far!"
Guitarist Mark Tremonti is to embark on a European tour with his solo band next month, while singer Myles Kennedy is to hook up with guitarist Slash for European shows that are to kick off at the end of the month.
Alter Bridge's latest studio album 'ABIII', was self-released on Alter Bridge Recordings via EMI Label Services in 2010. The band released their 'Live At Wembley' DVD, at the end of March 2012.
