Dragon’s Den star Duncan Bannatyne is set to unleash some of the first hatchlings from his new musical venture Bannatyne Music, a fresh record label part-owned by the multi-millionaire - and it appears that a boyband are his first output.
ReConnected, the boyband in question, is the reformation of Mancunian outfit Connected, who found some fame after finishing 8th in the fourth series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2010. Consisting of Harry Mondryk, Max Mondryk, and Matthew Fitzgerald as well as twins Myles and Connor Ryan, they performed their ‘last gig’ at the Midlands Music Festival to a crowd of 20,000 the same year.
After the Ryan twins split off to form their own band, the remaining three members decided to form ReConnected, and began working on new music - eventually signing to RKA Records in in 2011. Interestingly, the label was originally brought to attention in 2010 - when founder Ryan Ashmore pitched the idea of the label to the Dragon’s Den. Bannatyne obviously liked the idea, and became the investor which has now seen this label make movements.
The first movement of which is to release ReConnected’s new single ‘One in a Million’, out March 18th. There’s a music video to go along with it - you can check it out below - and it even features a cameo appearance from the Dragon himself. You can catch ReConnected touring the UK alongside Little Mix this February - why not check the fresh pop act out before they make it big. Check the dates and details below the video to find tickets.
