Johnny Marr Tells Fans To Stop Hanging On For Reunion Of The Smiths

Alt-rock icon Johnny Marr has told fans that they need to stop hanging on for a reunion of The Smiths - and that they should instead simply enjoy life!
The world-famous guitarist has probably talked about getting back together with Morrissey and co. in the press more than any other subject, and in his latest interview with NPR, he’s told fans to just get on with their lives instead of holding out for the band to return - something which suggests a reunion is off the cards.
Asked the same old question by NPR, Marr said: “(Fans) hope there will be some big happy ending. The fact is, there is a happy ending — I'm happy. It's all cool. It's slightly difficult when people assume that your life will be complete, or everybody's life will be complete, if this band from 25 years ago reforms.
“Life doesn't need that to happen for things to be okay — really, surely. My goodness, go and see the Dalai Lama or something; that'll make you feel better.”
Though you won’t be seeing Johnny Marr performing with his Smiths bandmates anytime soon, you can catch him on his solo UK tour in March. If you need tickets, check the dates and links below.
