Liam Gallagher Criticises 'Schizophrenic' Noel For Performing Too Many Oasis Tracks

Thursday, 02 May 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

Beady Eye star Liam Gallagher has hit out at his brother Noel once again this week - this time for performing what he thinks is far too many Oasis songs at his live shows.

The split of Oasis was caused by a highly-publicised rift between Noel and Liam, and their hate for each other hasn’t seemed to simmer down almost four years later. The pair can often be seen criticising each other in the press, and Liam has made yet another comment towards his brother - this time slating him for his ‘schizophrenic’ use of Oasis songs during his live gigs.

Liam told NME:

“[Beady Eye will] keep it as two because there's too many people loitering in the past. We can't be doing 10 of them in the set, we're not Oasis. Noel does quite a bit, but that's his fucking thing: splitting up Oasis and putting half the fucking songs in your fucking set, it's schizophrenic. If you want to play fucking Oasis songs put the band back together and stop being a fucking gobshite. But he hasn't got the balls to go and do High Flying Birds on his own, like we did [playing just Beady Eye songs initially]. That's just the nature of the man.”

Performing enough of their own songs live shouldn’t be a problem for Beady Eye anymore, as they’re on the verge of releasing their second studio album ‘BE’ next month. They’ve also lined-up a trio of live dates where you can catch them performing their new material - check the dates and links below to find tickets through Stereoboard!
