Spring Offensive release new single Speak as a free download today. Self produced and mixed by Emre Ramazanoglu (Warpaint, Palma Violets, Summer Camp) Speak shows off a fresh side to the band with it's hypnotic driving loop and clattering rhythms underpinning their more familiar group harmonies and evocative lyrics. Written in a remote cottage in Wales and recorded in a living room home studio by David Pye (Wild Beasts, Faithless), Speak is about being closed off and seeking isolation, about crawling into yourself to avoid confrontation. The lyrics teeter on the edge of a confession, but despite the build up, the ‘thing’ that so desperately needs to be communicated never is.
After recently supporting Stealing Sheep, Stornoway and To Kill A King, the Oxford 35-piece return to their former hometown on 15 June to play at St John the Evangelist in Oxford and following up their recent sold out show at The Lexington play a more intimate show at London’s Hoxton Hall on the 19 June.
