Rick Wakeman has unveiled plans to take 'Journey To The Centre Of The Earth' out on tour next year, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of the album.
Each of the two-hour shows will feature state-of-the-art graphics and visuals projected on screens and backdrops. Wakeman will perform alongside his band, The English Rock Ensemble, as well as The Jules Verne Symphony Orchestra and Choir.
The huge production will include a mix of both original and revised material from the 'Journey To The Centre of The Earth' album and the 1999 follow-up, 'Return To The Centre Of The Earth'.
The UK dates are the first of over 100 dates being scheduled to take place around the world.
In addition, 2014 just so happens to mark the 150th anniversary of Verne’s classic novel, on which Wakeman’s work is based.
