Former Spice Girl turned solo star Geri Halliwell has announced a brand new single Half of Me.
Formerly known as Ginger Spice, Geri is hard at work on what will be her fourth solo album and has today announced the details of brand new single Half of Me, which will most likely feature on the new LP. Halliwell has been working with Ed Sheeran’s songwriting team, so it’ll be interesting to hear what she has to offer.
The new track will be promoted with a performance at the NRL Footy Show Grand Final in Australia on October 3. It follows Phenomenal Woman, a track which debuted (coincidentally, exactly one year before Half of Me gets its first play) at a Woman’s Fashion Show for Breast Cancer Care last year and is the lead cut from the new album.
“The fabulous Official Australia's Got Talent judge Geri Halliwell is performing a world exclusive of her NEW single 'Half of Me' at our GRAND FINAL Show!”
Meanwhile, Halliwell recently opened up about her new record. She told The Mirror:
“I'm writing a new album and we've been doing stripped down, acoustic sets - I'm progressing to new sounds. Music for three minutes is like an antidepressant - it can lift you up, take you there, transport you to that first kiss, make love to it. Writing music should be joyful - I'm writing about love and filth.”
You’ll have to wait a bit longer to hear the track, so stay with Stereoboard and we’ll let you know when some audio drops.
