Kings Of Leon Streaming New Album 'Mechanical Bull' - Listen Here

Nashville rockers Kings of Leon are streaming their brand new album ‘Mechanical Bull’ ahead of its release later this month.

The Followills have been hard at work in the studio completing their new record and have lined up a September 24 release date. In a move that’s becoming more and more common in the music scene, they’ve decided to let fans stream it in full via iTunes a week ahead of its release. Click here to listen.

This announcement follows the recent unveiling of new track Beautiful War, which was premiered with a live performance on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show. It was actually written over five years ago during the same weekend as Top 5 hit Use Somebody, from their 2008 album ‘Only By The Night’. You can check it out below.

The band recently revealed that their new record had been inspired by the likes of Queens of the Stone Age - and even country music. Check out what they had to say to Rolling Stone:

“Lucky for us we were all in the same headspace, and taking that break allowed us to fall back in love with what we get to do for a living. We did what we've known to do for 12 years, which was pick up our instruments and play.

"We'd go in every day and play stuff we were into, and it was interesting hearing what people were into. There are a couple songs that could be considered country ballads, even though they're not country songs. One song has more of a Queens Of The Stone Age feel. Another one sounds more like Sly And The Family Stone. It's all across the board.”
