Dexys will warm up for their Glastonbury performance with a show at London's Camden Roundhouse on June 27.
The new London show will be an adaptation of the band's theatre shows they put together to support their recent album 'One Day I’m Going To Soar'. They said in a statement:
“It’s a stand up venue, so it will be something different for us. Until this point, almost all of our shows have been in sit down theatres, but we’re up for it and we know that the show can work well in this interesting building.
“The performance will basically the Glastonbury (festival) set – a slightly edited version of the One Day I’m Going To Soar Show, plus a few favourites. Sadly, Madeleine Hyland is unable to do the shows, but we are delighted that Siobhan Fahey will step in to play the female role. We’re sad that Maddy isn’t with us, but really feel good about Siobhan’s involvement. Look good, you know we will.”
In April last year the band took their 'One Day I’m Going To Soar' show to the heart of London’s West End with a run of performances at the historic Duke Of York’s Theatre on St Martin’s Lane.
