John K. Samson To Return With New Solo Album 'Winter Wheat'
Monday, 15 August 2016
Written by Huw Baines
John K. Samson will return with a new solo LP this autumn.
‘Winter Wheat’ is out on October 21 through Anti- and is Samson’s first outing since the Weakerthans fizzled out. It follows up to his solo bow, ‘Provincial’, which was released in 2012.
The record was co-produced by Weakerthans drummer Jason Tait and Christine Fellows and is also home to contributions from Greg Smith, who played bass in Samson’s old band.
Listen to a new song, Postdoc Blues, at the A.V. Club.
