State Champs Tease Self-Titled Album With New Single Light Blue

State Champs have released a new single.
Following on from Silver Cloud and Too Late To Say, Light Blue offers passages of airy guitars that build to an explosive, hooky chorus. It serves as the latest preview of the Albany pop-punks' new self-titled album, due out on November 8 via Pure Noise Records. Commenting on the reflective song, the band said:
"Have you ever been transported back in time, for better or for worse, simply by the smell of something or someone? Inspired by Dan & Shay’s “Tequila,” we put our energetic spin on this concept with “Light Blue.” It’s a light-hearted track that reminiscences and rollercoasters between airy, bouncy guitars and pop arrangements to a full-blown fuzzed-out chorus that will have you banging your head in between memories you didn’t ask to be dug back up."
State Champs will support the record with a previously scheduled North American tour in the fall, following an appearance at Chicago's Riot Fest this weekend. They'll also return to the UK and Europe early in 2025. Tickets are on sale now.
