Los Campesinos! have shared a new song, The Fall Of Home.
The track is cut from their new album, ‘Sick Scenes’, which is set to arrive on February 24 through Wichita and follow up 2013's 'No Blues'.
Speaking about the song with the A.V. Club, who premiered it, vocalist Gareth said:
"This is an elegy to the home towns left behind. It’s about the villages too stifling to ever allow you or itself to flourish. About those who left to protect their mental health or to be the best version of themselves. To those who moved to the city and return “home” for Christmas and funerals, feeling like a tourist. For the lonely people in rented house shares with no idea what they’re doing. And it’s for those who didn’t want to or couldn’t leave, and are still hanging in there."
The Cardiff-based band will follow up the record's release with a UK tour, calling in Liverpool, Glasgow, Sheffield, Newcastle, London, Brighton, Norwich and Birmingham between April 27 and May 7. Tickets are on sale now.
