Out Lines have announced their debut album.
'Conflats' is due for release on October 27 through Rock Action, with the band comprising singer-songwriter Kathryn Joseph, the Twilight Sad's frontman James Graham and Marcus Mackay, producer and founder of the Diving Bell Lounge recording studio.
Discussing the record, which was inspired by conversations Joseph and Graham had with people who use Platform, a multi-arts and community space in Easterhouse, Glasgow, Joseph said:
"Some parts of their stories were sad but they were all such strong beautiful humans and that made writing the songs so much easier than I thought it was going to be."
Graham added:
"[It was] pretty much one of the most stressful situations you could put yourself under whilst writing music. These people came and didn't hold back, they told us everything. It wasn't a case of you had to dig it out of them."
Check out the opening track, Buried Guns, and the artwork, created by Scott Hutchinson of Frightened Rabbit, below.
