Brand New Friend have released a video for Why Are You So Tired?.
The track appears on their debut album, 'Seatbelts For Aeroplanes', which arrived in April through Xtra Mile Recordings. Discussing it, vocalist Taylor Johnson said:
“‘Why Are You So Tired?’ is one of the most personal songs on the album. It was written for my then girlfriend, who was anaemic. She never wanted to worry me when she wasn’t well, so the only way to know for sure how she was feeling was to ask her to show me her eyes. This song was a gentle reminder for her to look after herself, that I’d do anything for her and that even if she was past caring, the people around her cared massively about her.”
The Northern Irish band have lined up a London show at the Waiting Room on August 29. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £7.00 plus fees.
Prior to that they support At The Drive In at their July 10 Dublin show and will also call at Cork's Indiependence Festival and Stendhal Festival in Limavady ahead of their set at Belfast's Custom House Square on August 23 with Kodaline and Lewis Capaldi.
