Phosphorescent will return with a new record this autumn.
The October 5 arrival of ‘C’est La Vie’ on Dead Oceans will be followed by UK shows at Liverpool's Grand Central Hall, the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds and the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London.
Produced by main man Matthew Houck in Nashville and mixed with Vance Powell, news of the successor to 2013’s ‘Muchacho’ has been ushered in alongside a new single called New Birth in New England.
The track elevates everyday details to something breezily poignant, relying on a rolling gait to add a peppy sheen to something not a million miles removed from his last LP’s Ride On / Right On.
The opening line - “I was sitting at a bar in New England, I was thinking ‘bout another beer” - sets the tone, while its chorus becomes a mantra for those times when things just click for some reason: “Honey, don’t I know ya?”
Phosphorescent Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:
Fri October 26 2018 - LIVERPOOL Grand Central Hall
Sun October 28 2018 - LEEDS Brudenell Social Club
Tue October 30 2018 - LONDON O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire
