The band kick things off at Welcome To Rockville festival on May 5 in Jacksonville, Florida, then play headline shows, before concluding the trek with a set at Chicago Open Air Festival on May 19. Tickets go on sale from 10am local time on March 15.
Following the run, the band will head to the UK and Europe this summer — touching down at Download Festival in Donington on June 16 for a headline set. Head here to check out the rest of the line up.
The band appear to be in the final stages of completing their long-awaited new album. Adding to the long running speculation behind its release, vocalist Maynard James Keenan recently confirmed that LP number five was likely to arrive "between mid-May and mid-July."
Tool also recently shared a photo of guitarist Adam Jones, bassist Justin Chancellor and drummer Danny Carey with Tool producer Joe Barresi and engineer Bob Ludwig, who previously mastered the band's 2006 album '10,000 Days'.
