Neil Young Announces Previously Unheard Live Album 'Tuscaloosa'

Neil Young has announced details of a previously unreleased live album, 'Tuscaloosa'.
Recorded on February 5, 1973 at the University of Alabama, the performance captures Young and his backing band the Stray Gators on the road supporting his recently released 'Harvest' album.
Containing 11 tracks, the archival record features material from 'Harvest' as well as 'Time Fades Away, and more. It's shorter than the original 20-song set because the show tape didn't capture the whole performance. Young explained his decision to release the recording with songs missing in a letter to a fan on the Neil Young Archives website:
"We don’t like to release a lot of songs on many albums, so On The Way Home went by the wayside. The Loner was just not good enough. I still make those decisions because I am here on the planet. However, those two versions will be available in the archives for members to hear. I have no plans to release everything I have ever recorded. Some of it is just not good enough."
'Tuscaloosa' is scheduled for release on June 7 as a single CD and triple vinyl album with etched artwork on side four. Head below to check out the tracklist and listen to Don't Be Denied.
Young, meanwhile, has a handful of summer European shows lined up with Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real as his backing band. The group will perform four shows in Germany between July 2 and 6, ahead of Young's co-headline performances with Bob Dylan at British Summer Time in Hyde Park, London and Nowlan Park in Kilkenny, Ireland.
