Miya Folick is back with a new single, Malibu Barbie.
The slow self-assesing pop track marks the Los Angeles-based artist's first new music since the release of her debut album, 'Premonitions', towards the end of last year. Discussing the inspiration behind the song, she explained:
"Malibu Barbie is about my exploration of what being a woman means to me. It's a longing for an ideal. It’s realising that I can go to an extreme in pursuit of physical perfection, look around, and realize that I haven’t changed. I am still longing and seeking something more. Who I am is not a place at which I can arrive."
Catch Folick live in London on May 25 performing at All Points East festival and headlining the Borderline in Soho on May 29.
