Radiohead Release 18 Hours Of Demo Material From 'OK Computer' Era

Tuesday, 11 June 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

Radiohead have released 18 hours of demo material from the era they wrote and recorded 'OK Computer', 1995-1998.

The band, whose last album was 2016's 'A Moon Shaped Pool', while they also released ‘OK Computer OKNOTOK 1997-2017’ in 2017, made the decision after they got hacked. In a statement, Jonny Greenwood said: "Someone stole Thom’s [York - frontman] minidisk archive from around the time of OK Computer, and reportedly demanded $150,000 on threat of releasing it."

For the next 18 days you will able to purchase the 18 hours of music, which they've called '[Minidiscs] Hacked', for £18 via their Bandcamp. All proceeds will go to Extinction Rebellion.
