Mahalia Releases Sizzling New Single Simmer Featuring Burna Boy

Thursday, 04 July 2019 Written by Helen Payne

Mahalia has released a new single from her forthcoming debut album.

Simmer is a sizzling, dancehall inspired track featuring the Nigerian afro-fusion vocalist Burna Boy and samples of Jeffrey Harding’s Playground Riddim, which also appeared in Beenie Man's 1997 hit Who Am I. It's a summer anthem in the making, with an earworm bassline and chillout R&B synths providing some serious beach party vibes.

‘Love & Compromise’, the follow up to Mahalia's 2018 EP ‘Seasons’, is due out on September 6, and will feature her hit singles I Wish I Missed My Ex and Do Not Disturb. She will support the record with live dates across the UK, Europe, North America, Japan, the Philippines and South Korea. Tickets are on sale now.
