Chastity Belt Detail Self-Titled New Album And Share Video For Opening Track Ann's Jam

Chastity Belt will return with a new album this autumn.
They'll put out the self-titled follow up to 2017's ‘I Used to Spend So Much Time Alone’ on September 20 through Hardly Art (Milk! records in Australia and New Zealand). The Seattle-based band co-produced it with Melina Duterte, aka Jay Som. Guitarist and vocalist, Julia Shapiro said:
“I feel like this record is a really good representation of who we all are, and I feel like we're at a point where we've really come into our own. We're more us than ever.”
Discussing why they took a break between albums, drummer Gretchen Grimm added:
“So much of the break was reminding ourselves to stay present, and giving ourselves permission to stop without saying when we’re gonna meet up again,” says guitarist Lydia Lund. “It was so important to have that—not saying, ‘we’re gonna get back together at this point,’ but really just open it up so we could get back to our present connection.”

Chastity Belt will follow up the record's release with a European and UK tour in October, before returning to the US for shows throughout November.
