Small Talk is the third new offering from the singer this year, following Never Really Over and 365. Perry collaborated with Zedd for the latter and he also co-produced the former. Her last album, meanwhile, was 2017's ‘Witness’.
Head below to watch a lyric video for the new track, which candidly addresses the aftermath of a romantic relationship. "I just can't believe we went from strangers to lovers to strangers in a lifetime," she sings over dynamic beats.
The pop track begins with a pared back soundscape but in the last minute goes full-blown '80s earworm anthem. Repeat spins advised.
