Brother and producer to Billie Eilish, Finneas has announced the release of his debut EP.
’Blood Harmony’ is scheduled to arrive on October 4 and is preceded by new song Shelter and his previously shared debut single, I Lost A Friend. Discussing the new track, which is much brighter than his sister’s material, he said:
"I wrote this song a couple years ago and just let it percolate for a while, seeing how it would age. When I looked through my music to release this year, I came across the demo and was pleasantly surprised to find I still liked it.
"Usually, I get bored of my stuff almost immediately. I wanted this song to have an urgency to it when I recorded it, the same way that the lyrics do—the kind of feverish feeling that accompanies loving someone."
The 22-year-old singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist will accompany the record’s release with his first headline North American tour this autumn, with shows confirmed in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Brooklyn and Boston, in addition to an appearance at Austin City Limits. Tickets will go on general sale at 12pm on August 28.
Finneas produced and co-wrote Eilish’s debut album, ’When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’, out now.
