Arctic Monkeys Bassist Quits US Tour

ImageArctic Monkeys have released a press statement to inform fans that bassist Andy Nicholson has quit the band for the forthcoming US Tour.

THe Sheffield band are set to head out to the US later this month, but will be without Andy who is suffering from exhaustion.

A statement reads: “Owing to fatigue following an intensive period of touring, Andy Nicholson shall be taking a rest and will not be accompanying Arctic Monkeys on their forthcoming tour of North America."

“Nick O'Malley shall be standing in for Andy on the tour which begins in Vancouver on May 27th. "

It is not yet clear whether or not Nicholson will return to the band for the upcoming festival dates, or the summer tours of Australia and Japan.
