A new posthumous David Bowie LP will be released on April 18 for Record Store Day.
The announcement of 'CHANGESNOWBOWIE' coincides with what would have been the late icon's 73rd birthday. It was recorded during November 1996 at Looking Glass Studios in New York while Bowie was rehearsing for his 50th birthday show at Madison Square Garden.
The nine-track record finds Bowie accompanied by Gail Ann Dorsey (bass, vocals), Reeves Gabrels (guitars) and Mark Plati (keyboards and programming). Its cover features a portrait by photographer Albert Watson, that was shot in New York in 1996.
An EP of unreleased and rare material has also been announced. The six-track collection is called 'Is It Any Wonder?' and will be released over the course of six weeks, starting with a previously unreleased version of The Man Who Sold The World. The songs included in the EP were recorded during a 1997 session Bowie did for the BBC.
