Simple Minds Add Nocturne Live Summer Show To 40 Years Of Hits Tour

Simple Minds have been confirmed for Nocturne Live.
As part of their 40 Years Of Hits Tour, the Scottish band will perform at Blenheim Palace in Oxford on June 19, with support from special guests Deacon Blue. Tickets go on sale at 9am on February 21. Vocalist Jim Kerr said:
“You’ll hear all the classics, and all the big songs. And for the hard core we’ll be playing some songs that we haven’t played for a while. Simple Minds are different now. We’re not a stock rock band, but we haven’t changed our line-up to be cool. We’ve done it because it’s great to have so many amazing players on board. I’m grateful for the career we’ve had, but I’m mad enough to think we can still hit new levels. This is what we do – write, record and play live.”
2019 saw the band release a greatest hits compilation album, ‘40: The Best Of - 1979-2019’, and live LP, 'Live In The City Of Angels'.
Also confirmed for the Nocturne Live concert series are Lionel Richie on June 20 and David Gray on June 18. Tickets for these shows are already on sale.
