Lucinda Williams Shares New Single Big Black Train

Monday, 30 March 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Lucinda Williams has unveiled a new track.

The guitar-led Big Black Train continues to ramp up the hype around the release of 'Good Souls Better Angels', the multi-Grammy winner's first collection of new music since 2016's 'The Ghosts of Highway 20'.

Lyrically, the sparse but powerful song explores depression and the pain and fears experienced by those affected by it, with the title working as a metaphor for the illness. It follows the previously shared singles You Can't Rule Me and Man Without A Soul in keeping with the LP's theme of addressing social and political issues.

'Good Souls Better Angels' is due out April 24 via Highway 20 Records/Thirty Tigers.
