Alison Mosshart has shared Rise, her debut solo single.
Usually found fronting the Kills and the Dead Weather, Mosshart has retooled a fragment dating back to 2013 to form the backbone of the track’s menacing blend of blues and outlaw country.
“I didn’t ever forget it,” she said. “I remember right where I was when I wrote it, sitting at my desk in London, missing someone badly.”
