As promised, Kanye West has released a new track.
Wash Us in the Blood features Travis Scott, and was mixed by Dr. Dre. It arrives accompanied by a video from director Arthur Jafa. Stream it below.
The single, which is currently available across multiple formats, is expected to feature on an album called God’s Country, which West recently alluded to in a wide-ranging GQ interview. “I was thinking of not rapping again, because I rapped for the devil so long that I didn’t even know how to rap for God,” he told Will Welch.
“Then one of my pastors told me, “My son just said that he would want a rap album about Jesus from Kanye West.” He didn’t say, “Kanye West, you should do this,” or “you need to do this.” He just told me something that a child said. And that one thing made the difference.”
Kanye released ‘ Jesus is King’ and ‘Jesus is Born’, its companion album with the Sunday Service Choir ‘Jesus is Born’, in 2019.
