Jorja Smith Posts Popcaan Collaboration Come Over

Friday, 02 October 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Jorja Smith has shared a new song, Come Over.

The dancehall-tinged ballad was recorded pre-coronavirus pandemic during a writing trip to Port Antonio in Jamaica and sees the soul and R&B singer teaming up with Popcaan.

The track's lyrics tell a story about somebody who is struggling to know their place in a relationship. Smith explained: "That unsure feeling when you’re talking to someone and you can’t tell how much they’re into you and you’re chasing them when – really - it can be straight up and no one should be playing games.”

Check out its accompanying Amber Grace-directed animated video below. It follows By Any Means, her powerful summer single.
