Finneas Releases New Single Can't Wait To Be Dead

Wednesday, 21 October 2020 Written by Laura Johnson

Finneas has released a new song.

Can’t Wait To Be Dead is a sombre, soft rock offering that follows up his September single What They'll Say About Us. Its accompanying Constellation Jones-directed video will premiere tomorrow (October 22). Finneas said:

"I’m happy for this song to mean anything to anyone who listens to it but to me, it’s a song about my relationship with the Internet. Especially in an election year. Especially during a pandemic.  Sometimes, the internet makes me laugh, sometimes it makes me cry, sometimes it makes me hopeful. But sometimes, it really makes me wanna be dead."

The singer, songwriter, producer and six-time Grammy winner put out a deluxe version of his 2019 debut EP, 'Blood Harmony' in August, and recently co-produced Justin Bieber's new single Lonely with Benny Blanco.

He's also well known for collaborating with his sister Billie Eilish, who he's worked with on all of her material, including the latest James Bond theme No Time To Die.
