Blood From The Soul Post New Song Calcified Youth Ahead Of 'DSM-5' Release

Thursday, 29 October 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Blood From The Soul have dropped a new track, Calcified Youth.

The song offers a surging, industrial-tinged glimpse of the rebooted group's forthcoming concept LP, 'DSM-5', due out digitally on November 13 via Deathwish Records. It comes with a mesmerising sci-fi video directed by Chariot Of Black Moth, viewable below.

The band — comprised this time around of Shane Embury of Napalm Death, Jacob Bannon of Converge, Dirk Verbeuren of Megadeth and Jesper Liveröd of Nasum — announced their return earlier in October with the record's introductory track Debris Of Dreams.

Blood From The Soul originally formed 27 years ago after Embury linked up with Lou Koller, leader of hardcore legends Sick Of It All. The project was shelved following the release of their 1993 album 'To Spite The Gland That Bleeds'.
