Taylor Swift has unveiled the video for Willow.
The finger-picked guitar-led folk-pop track opens her new album, 'evermore', which dropped at midnight last night (December 10) with just a few hours warning. It's the sister record to her latest LP, 'folklore', which also arrived with little notice this summer.
Swift produced 'evermore' with Aaron Dessner of the National and Jack Antonoff, who both worked on its predecessor. It features collaborations with Bon Iver, Haim, Marcus Mumford and the National. Introducing the record online, Swift said:
“To put it plainly, we just couldn't stop writing songs. To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn back or to travel further into the forest of the music. We chose to wander deeper in and my collaborators and I are proud to announce that my 9th studio album and folklore's sister record is here. It's called evermore.”
Willow's accompanying clip was directed by Swift and picks up where the Cardigan storyline left off, with the star exploring the magical world inside her piano.
I have no idea what will come next. I have no idea about a lot of things these days and so I’ve clung to the one thing...
