Charlie Simpson Shares New Single Blameless

Friday, 29 January 2021 Written by Jon Stickler

Charlie Simpson has shared a new song, Blameless.

The heartfelt pop ballad reflects on the thoughts and feelings experienced at the end of a relationship, and arrives with an accompanying video self-produced by the Busted and Fightstar frontman. He said:

"Blameless is a self-reflection at the end of a relationship. When a relationship ends it’s so easy to get caught up with feelings of resentment, and you often end up blaming the other person for everything that went wrong. This song is about reflecting on those feelings and realising that sometimes things aren’t so black and white, and that events that lead to a break up of a relationship are rarely one sided."

In 2020, Simpson dropped his first single in five years, I See You. It's currently unclear whether the tracks will appear as part of a larger body of work.
