Lucky arrives following a teaser for the song posted on social media at the start of 2021. "Obliterating January with our presence. We got performance videos and new music coming for ya! Spoiler alert - it’s going to be sexy," the Charli XCX-crafted group captioned their post on Instagram.
The synth-led pop track serves as the first preview of their upcoming EP, which is scheduled to land in the spring, following up 2020's 'Season 2' EP. Its accompanying video will premiere on YouTube at 6pm GMT today (January 29).
"Lucky is a song we wrote for each other during the pandemic where the six weeks we got to spend together felt incredibly precious and introspective," they said. "It's a reflective, sweet and spiky little song."
