The nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2021 have been announced.
Iron Maiden, Jay-Z, Carole King and Tina Turner are among those up for induction, with Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, Devo, Foo Fighters, the Go-Go's, Chaka Khan, Fela Kuti, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Rage Against The Machine, Todd Rundgren and Dionne Warwick also included in the ballot.
Artists become eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first official recording. John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Foundation, said in a statement:
"This remarkable ballot reflects the diversity and depth of the artists and music the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame celebrates. These nominees have left an indelible impact on the sonic landscape of the world and influenced countless artists that have followed them."
Fans can cast their votes up until April 30 at rockhall.com, with the class of 2021 set to be announced in May. The induction ceremony will take place in Cleveland, Ohio in the autumn, though a date is still to be determined.
