Alanis Morissette has shared a new song, I Miss The Band.
The yearning piano-based track marks the singer-songwriter's first new music since her 2020 album, 'Such Pretty Forks In The Road', her first studio full-length in eight years, following 2012's 'Havoc And Bright Lights'.
Proceeds from the single will go to Backline, an organisation that connects music industry professionals with trusted mental health resources. Morissette wrote on her YouTube channel:
"Backline provides a safe, private, and immediate place to go for help. Available for free to artists, managers, agents, crew, producers, labels, and their families, Backline programs offer case management, support groups, and wellness programs to meet the needs of this unique community."
The 46-year-old will celebrate 25 years of her 1995 record 'Jagged Little Pill’ with a rescheduled UK and Ireland tour in October. The North American leg of the trek kicks off in the summer.
