J Balvin and Jon Pardi have dropped covers of Metallica's Wherever I May Roam.

The Columbian reggaeton star and American country music singer-songwriter are the latest artist's to contribute to 'The Metallica Blacklist', an upcoming tribute album celebrating the 30th anniversary of Metallica's classic self-titled LP, also known as 'The Black Album'.

The former's Spanish-language hip hop rendition samples the original cut's sitar riff and includes a segment that throws back to the original cut, complete with vocals from James Hetfield. The latter, meanwhile, has a more traditional country spin punctuated by flourishes of a fiddle. Press play below.

Other acts among the 53 artists reimagining songs include Biffy Clyro with their rework of Holier Than Thou, St Vincent's abrasive revamp of Sad But True, and revamp of The Unforgiven. The charity release will arrive digitally on September 10 through Metallica's own imprint, Blackened Recordings. Head here for further details.

Metallica play the Atlanta weekend concert series ATLive this November. They also headline at Firenze Rocks in Italy, Prague Rocks and Madrid's Mad Cool Festival in summer 2022.

Balvin, meanwhile, dropped his last album, 'Colores', in 2020. Since then, he's been busy racking up collaborations, one of the most recent being In Da Getto with Skrillex. Pardi released his latest full-length, 'Heartache Medication', in 2019.
