The disco-influenced number premiered as the Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds show and arrives after the Stockport band teased the song on August 16, posting a snippet of the track to Twitter.
Penned in 2019 with frequent collaborators James Skelly of The Coral and Rich Turvey, it's guided by sweeping strings and an upbeat looping piano riff, which brings a '70s ambience. Check out the accompanying video below.
Care For marks the first new material from the quintet's as-yet-unannounced follow-up to 2020's 'Foolish Loving Spaces'. That same year, they put out the festive double a-side single, Christmas Eve (Soul Purpose) and It's Going To Be A Cold Winter.
Blossoms will embark on a rescheduled headline UK tour later in August, kicking off with an appearance at Victorious Festival in Portsmouth. They'll also support Courteeners at their huge homecoming gig at Old Trafford in Manchester with Johnny Marr, Zuzu and The Big Moon on September 25.
