Rick Astley And Blossoms To Perform The Songs Of The Smiths At Manchester And London Gigs In October

Rick Astley will join Blossoms for two special UK shows this autumn.
The pop legend will combine with the indie giants to perform The Songs Of The Smiths at Manchester's Albert Hall and London's O2 Forum Kentish Town in October.
Astley will sing select cuts from the iconic band, with the Stockport quintet appearing as his backing group. Tickets go on sale at 9.30am on September 17.
The announcement follows the 55-year-old's eyebrow-raising surprise collaboration with Blossoms on stage last night in London, where they dropped a rendition of This Charming Man.
Rick Astley put out his last album, 'The Best Of Me', in 2019. In March, he rescheduled his Greatest Hits Tour for a second time to this autumn due to COVID-19.
Blossoms, meanwhile, are currently winding down their autumn tour supporting 2020's 'Foolish Loving Spaces'. They'll also support Courteeners at Old Trafford in Manchester with Johnny Marr, Zuzu and The Big Moon on September 25.
