Frank Turner Announces Ninth Album 'FTHC' And Extensive UK Tour, Posts New Single

Thursday, 16 September 2021 Written by Jon Stickler

Frank Turner has announced a new album and supporting tour dates.

The follow-up to 2019's 'No Man's Land' is called 'FTHC' and will arrive through Xtra Mile Recording/Polydor on February 11. It was recorded at ARC (Abbey Recording Studios) and produced and mixed by Rich Costey.

Details of the record come with a catchy new track, Haven't Been Doing So Well, which tackles the emotions felt by people over the past year and a half. It follows the previously unveiled first single, The Gathering. He said:

"It's exciting to finally get the new music I've been working on out into the world after the last miserable 18 months. It's been a difficult time for a lot of people and their mental health, myself included, and discussing that openly is important to me, so this is a song about anxiety and the struggles that come with that."

The punk-folk singer will support his new record with The Never Ending Tour Of Everywhere with his band The Sleeping Souls, which will head to 29 venues across the UK. Tickets go on general sale at midday on September 24.

Following slots at various summer festivals, Turner will kick off the first of four shows at London's Roundhouse tonight (September 16) as part of his Lost Evenings Festival.
