James To Celebrate Landmark Alton Towers Concert With Summer Show At Manchester's Castlefield Bowl

James have announced details of an outdoor show in Manchester.
The band will play Castlefield Bowl on July 2, marking 30 years since their landmark gig in front of 30,000 people at Staffordshire theme park Alton Towers.
The celebratory concert will see the group performing the same setlist of songs from that memorable night in July 1992, including hits such as Come Home, Born Of Frustration, Say Something, Ring The Bells, and Sit Down, along with live favourites and rare cuts not played live for a long time. Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am on September 24. Bassist Jim Glennie reminisced:
"It was a crazy day that was nearly defeated by the weather and the gig was even more celebratory due to the near-miss. Come and celebrate 30 years since that iconic day, and this time with guaranteed sunshine!"
James will embark on a previously confirmed UK and Ireland arena tour in November supported by Happy Mondays, tickets for which are already on sale. They're hitting the road in support of their new album, 'All The Colours Of You', released in June.
